Samaritan's Purse
Background
The story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37) gives a clear picture of God's desire for us to help those in desperate need wherever we find them. After describing how the Samaritan rescued a hurting man whom others had passed by, Jesus told His hearers, "Go and do likewise."
For over 40 years, Samaritan's Purse has done our utmost to follow Christ's command by going to the aid of the world's poor, sick, and suffering. We are an effective means of reaching hurting people in countries around the world with food, medicine, and other assistance in the Name of Jesus Christ. This, in turn, earns us a hearing for the Gospel, the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Our emergency relief programs provide desperately needed assistance to victims of natural disaster, war, disease, and famine. As we offer food, water, and temporary shelter, we meet critical needs and give people a chance to rebuild their lives.
Mission Statement
Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan's Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ.
The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Elam Ministries
Background
Elam was founded in 1988 by senior Iranian church leaders with a vision to serve the growing church in the Iran region. From the beginning, Elam's passion was to train and equip Iranian Christians to reach and disciple their country men. In 1990 six emerging leaders arrived in England from Iran to begin their fulltime ministry training. They lived in a small, two-bedroom flat and used the kitchen as a classroom. Since then, Elam has seen many years of God's faithfulness. By God's grace, the ministry is growing and is being used to strengthen and expand the church in the Iran region in a significant way.
Iran: Closed Land, Open Hearts
Since the 1979 Islamic revolution, Iranians have become increasingly disillusioned with Islam. The political, economic, and spiritual situation in Iran has resulted in a deep spiritual hunger for truth. Iran may be a closed land, but the people have open hearts. Iranians today are seen as the most open Muslim people to the Gospel in the world. More have become Christians since the revolution than the previous 1,300 years put together.
Unprecedented Church Growth
In 1979, there were less than 500 known Christians from a Muslim background in Iran. Today the most conservative estimate is that there are at least 100,000 believers in the nation. Church leaders believe that millions can be added to the church in the next few years-such is the spiritual hunger that exists and the disillusionment with the Islamic regime. If we remain faithful to our calling, our conviction is that it is possible to see the nation transformed within our lifetime. Because Iran is a strategic gateway nation, the growing church in Iran will impact Muslim nations across the Islamic world.
Vision and Strategy for Impact
Elam's vision is that all the people of the Iran region would have the opportunity to come to know the Lord Jesus Christ and follow Him as a disciple, and that they would be instrumental in taking the Gospel to other Muslims. To achieve this Vision, our goals are to:
Train
leaders and workers to be effective ministers of the Gospel in the Iran region.Equip
the Church with resources that will assist them in their ministry to the people of the Iran region.Send
leaders and workers to strengthen existing churches, establish new churches, and provide relief for the poor and persecuted.Site: www.elam.com

Sharing the Gospel
The primary aim of Gospel for Asia's ministry is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who have never before heard His name.
National Missionaries
Gospel for Asia trains and sends national missionaries because they have proven extremely effective. They are already familiar with the language and culture, and they live at the level of the people they serve, thus removing many social barriers. CCSA supports GFA Native Missionaries and you can view their testimonies and view more information about them online, by clicking here.
100 Percent
Gospel for Asia sends 100 percent of the money you donate for work on the mission field to the field. Nothing is taken out for administrative expenses.CCSA Connection:

New Hope Uganda

New Hope Uganda
New Hope Uganda was founded on a belief that God wanted family for the thousands of orphaned children in Uganda’s Luwero Triangle following the bloody reigns of Idi Amin and Milton Obote. Jay Dangers and his wife Vicki moved their young family to Uganda in 1986. The Dangers were soon joined by Jonnes Bakimi and, to use a common Ugandan phrase, “slowly by slowly” a dream became reality. Director Jay Dangers and Ministry Coordinator Jonnes Bakimi still lead New Hope today but little else is the same as it was 24 years ago.
Today, New Hope Uganda brings the Fatherhood of God to hundreds of orphaned, fatherless, and abandoned children and reaches out to surrounding communities through its four ministries: Kasana Children’s Center, Kobwin Children’s Center, Musana Camps, and 107.8 Musana FM radio.
The staff at New Hope form a multi-cultural team who consider themselves and the children they serve “family”. There are staff members from tribes that formerly hated each other, tribes whose languages are very similar and those that could not be more different. There are Americans, English, Rwandese, and Congolese. People from Sudan, Kenya, Holland, Canada, New Zealand, Scotland, Germany, India, and Israel have also served with New Hope Uganda.
CCSA Connection: Pastor Jeff traveled to Uganda before coming to Alaska, the Lord used the trip in many ways. We have a heart for the fatherless and a special connection to New Hope Uganda.

Harmony Outreach

(Near Beijing, China)
.A ministry to poor and vulnerable people in China. Harmony has six different outreaches in China. The cornerstone of our work is a home for orphaned and special needs children near Beijing called Harmony House. It is here that children who were born with special needs and abandoned by their parents go through our Three Steps to Hope (foster care, surgery, adoption) program. Harmony orphans have been adopted all over the United States and the world.
CCSA Connection: John Bentley came up to share with our congregation and it was amazing to see the heart of compassion that swept over our fellowship for orphaned children. We consider John a true friend and brother in Christ

Far Reaching Ministries
Far Reaching Ministries (FRM) is committed to bringing long-term discipleship and systematic teaching of God's Word to individuals in Africa, China, Russia and other parts of the world where such teaching is either unavailable or inaccessible. Through the discipleship of indigenous leaders, teaching community Bible Studies, planting churches and Bible Colleges, we hope to see native Christians receive a firm Scriptural foundation, upon which they can begin to build the ministry that God is calling them to.
We are currently serving in or partnering with ministries in China, Kenya, Russia, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and the United States - planting churches, equipping pastors, and preparing for the future by serving and protecting children. We strongly encourage churches and individuals to ask the Lord how He wants to use them to bring His Word to these people. There are plenty of opportunities for you or your group to intercede, invest, or to intervene and go on a mission trip to some of these hard hit areas today!

CCSA Connection: We were blessed to have Wes and Vicki come and share with our fellowship. We were deeply moved in the testimonies and teaching that the Lord brought through them and to hear what God is doing through the ministry of FRM. Our lives have been enchiched as a fellowship and individually through Wes and Vicky.
