What is it to be a woman or man after God's heart? To find the answer, we look to the life of David: not a perfect man but one who had an unquenchable passion for God. David was a man after God's heart because he sought the heart of God. And God blessed David's divine quest, advancing him from shepherd to king, warrior to victor, and outcast to ruler of Israel. In David, we see both strength and weaknesses. He was full of faith and sought God's guidance and directives. Yet, there were times in David's life when he fell prey to temptation and sin. Even in those dark times, however, David threw himself on the mercy of God.
Through studying the life of David, you will come to an understanding of how to be a woman after the heart of God. You will learn of God's great faithfulness to those who put their trust in Him and of the multitude of God's mercies toward those who resolve to know Him.
